Sweet Potato Mash

How do you make creamy sweet potato mash?
Boil the unpeeled sweet potatoes in salted water for 20-30 minutes until tender. Peel them and mash them with a fork. Separately, warm milk with butter and nutmeg. Gradually add this mixture to the mashed sweet potato, stirring until you reach the desired creamy consistency, and season to taste.
I adore sweet potatoes, not only for their flavor but also for all the nutritional benefits they give us. They are an excellent antioxidant, rich in fiber, minerals, and carbohydrates. We can enjoy this wonderful mash with an exquisite salad and our favorite grain or protein side.

Servings: Serves 4
Ingredients
- 300-400 g sweet potatoes
- 50 ml plant milk or cow’s milk
- 25 g butter or margarine

Instructions
Wash the sweet potatoes very well and place them in a medium pot with lightly salted boiling water. Cook for about 20-30 minutes; this depends on how large they are. Test doneness with a fork. If it goes easily into the sweet potato, they are ready.

As soon as they are cooked, remove and peel them.

Meanwhile, in another small pot, add the milk, grate in a little nutmeg, and melt the butter or margarine.

Mash with a fork.

Add the milk mixture and, if necessary, pour in a little more milk until you get the desired consistency. Salt to taste. Stir well.

Serve our delicious mash very hot.
Enjoy your meal!
