Golden Milk

How do you prepare golden milk step by step?
Heat the plant-based milk of your choice in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add one teaspoon of turmeric paste and stir constantly until fully incorporated and the drink turns an intense golden color. Serve very hot, sweeten with honey if desired, and sprinkle with ground cinnamon.
Golden milk is a gift from the Ayurvedic tradition, originally from India. This healthy drink has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties thanks to a substance found in turmeric called curcumin, but for the body to absorb it, it needs black pepper and a plant-based fat such as coconut oil. It boosts immune defenses, supports joint flexibility, improves digestion, and stimulates metabolism. Excellent as a drink before bedtime; according to Indian tradition, drinking one cup for a period of 40 days supports the body's well-being. Despite its many properties and benefits, it is not recommended for pregnant women or children under 5 years old, or simply if your doctor advises against it.
