Caramelized Cherry Tomatoes

How do you caramelize cherry tomatoes in a skillet?
Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and sauté them over high heat with oil, salt, and oregano for three minutes. Add the cane sugar, reduce the heat to medium-low, and cook for 10 more minutes until gently caramelized. Serve them warm or cold as a sweet-and-sour side dish.
These little tomatoes are ideal for adding a special touch to all kinds of dishes. Their excellent flavor and texture make them the perfect side dish.

Ingredients
- 400 g cherry tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons cane sugar
- 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 pinch of salt

Instructions
Wash, dry, and halve all the tomatoes.

Place them in a nonstick skillet with 3 tablespoons of extra-virgin olive oil.

Turn the heat to high and sprinkle with a pinch of salt and oregano to taste. Cook for 3 minutes.

Add the sugar and stir well.

Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for another 10 minutes.

Turn off the heat and enjoy the tomatoes warm or cold, depending on the dish.
